EigenLayer is a liquid staking protocol for Ethereum that allows users to restake their ETH to participate in additional decentralized services, such as securing new blockchains, data, or oracle networks.

Given that Ethereum staking is currently questionable, EigenLayer also remains uncertain.

The project does not have a consensus protocol like Proof-of-Stake in which users can participate. Therefore, any so-called “staking” or other fixed-income instruments for the EIGEN token do not comply with Shariah standards, as they do not contribute to the creation of new blockchain transactions or the provision of any service.
